Octon Blackfisken
Interactive 3D Watch Visualization
About Project
The Octon “Blackfisken” project marked a milestone in interactive product visualization. Created for the launch of Octon’s premium diver’s watch, this digital 3D model was designed to showcase the craftsmanship, materials, and precision engineering behind the Blackfisken series.
Developed as a fully interactive, web-viewable 3D experience in 2020, it allowed users to rotate, zoom, and explore every design detail directly in their browser — long before Web3D became a mainstream marketing tool.
This early adoption of interactive CGI positioned our studio among the first in the UK to pioneer real-time product visualization, blending photorealism with technical innovation to create an immersive, tactile online experience.

Our Role
Our approach focused on achieving uncompromising realism while maintaining smooth performance for online interactivity. Every surface — from brushed stainless steel and sapphire glass to the luminescent dial details — was meticulously crafted using physically based rendering (PBR) workflows and HDR lighting for natural reflections. The challenge was to preserve cinematic quality within the constraints of real-time display, balancing polygon density and texture fidelity to deliver a fluid user experience on both desktop and mobile devices.

The result was a photoreal, high-fidelity 3D model that not only conveyed the mechanical precision of the timepiece but also served as a forward-looking demonstration of Web3D’s potential in digital product storytelling. Years later, the Octon “Blackfisken” still stands as a benchmark project, reflecting our commitment to innovation and our ongoing mission to make premium 3D visualization accessible, interactive, and emotionally engaging.
